An Optional Service Available with Every Suit
Fit Assurance for Greater Sizing Confidence.
Fit Assurance is an optional service that can be added when purchasing any Made to Order or Made to Measure suit. It is designed for customers who feel uncertain about standard sizing, are worried about taking measurements, or simply want additional reassurance before ordering online.
Each Fit Assurance purchase is attached to one specific suit and provides one complete fit-resolution case. That case may cover one affected garment, several pieces or the entire suit where a full remake is genuinely required.
What Is Fit Assurance?
A Dedicated Sizing Protection Service for Your Suit.
Fit Assurance is a separately selected service offered alongside our Made to Order and Made to Measure suits. It gives the covered suit a defined fit-resolution process when significant sizing problems remain after delivery.
It is not limited to remaking a single garment. Depending on the evidence and what can reasonably be altered, we may resolve the issue through alterations, remake one or more affected pieces, or remake the complete suit.
Fit Assurance must be added to each suit you wish to protect. It does not automatically cover other suits in the same order.
Who It Is For
Reassurance When Fit Feels Uncertain.
Ordering a tailored suit online should feel exciting, but we understand that sizing can be a source of concern. You may sit between standard sizes, have proportions that do not follow a conventional size chart, or simply lack confidence in measurements taken at home.
Fit Assurance provides a defined route for resolving a significant sizing or fit issue after delivery. It is a specific add-on service offered with our suits, giving you extra protection when you want the convenience and styling choice of ordering online but are concerned that the first fit may not be right.
It is optional and must be purchased separately for each Made to Order or Made to Measure suit you wish to cover. One purchase can protect the jacket, waistcoat and trousers or skirt belonging to that covered suit.
An unlisted adult size is not, by itself, a reason to buy full Made to Measure or Fit Assurance. Contact us before ordering: subject to tailoring suitability and confirmation, an adult extended-size accommodation can use individual measurements with standard Made to Order styling at the equivalent Made to Order price. Fit Assurance remains a separate optional service.
How Fit Assurance Works
One Clear Process, from Assessment to Resolution.
All affected pieces from the covered suit must be reported together as one complete fit-resolution case. This does not limit support to one garment: the case may include the jacket, waistcoat, trousers or skirt, and may result in a full suit remake where genuinely necessary.
Contact Us Promptly
Tell us about the issue within 14 days of delivery, before the garments have been altered or worn to an event.
Show Us the Fit
Provide clear photographs and the measurements we request, with the tape measure visible, level and readable.
We Assess the Pieces
Suitable alterations will be considered first. Where alteration is not practical, one piece, several pieces or the complete suit may be approved for remake.
The Issue Is Resolved
Every approved replacement piece is produced in the original confirmed fabric and styling, using the revised sizing information agreed with you.
Original Pieces Must Be Returned
A Remake Replaces the Original Garment.
Every piece approved for remake must be returned to us. Where the complete suit is being remade, the jacket, waistcoat and trousers or skirt must all be returned. A remake replaces the original garments and is not supplied as an additional or duplicate suit.
This keeps the process fair, allows us to inspect the original fit where necessary, and helps prevent Fit Assurance from being used to obtain extra pieces rather than resolve a genuine sizing issue.
Approved remade pieces are newly produced and normally require the same estimated 4–6 week production period as a new order, followed by delivery. Fit Assurance is not a rapid or priority service.
What the Claim Is For
Significant Fit Issues, Not a Change of Design.
Fit Assurance protects the sizing decision attached to the covered suit. It does not turn a remake into a new custom order.
Fit Assurance May Help With
- A standard size that proves significantly unsuitable after delivery.
- Submitted measurements that result in a substantial fit problem.
- One affected garment, several pieces or the complete covered suit where the fit evidence shows this is necessary.
- Reasonable alterations where they provide the most suitable resolution.
- A remake where the approved fit issue cannot reasonably be corrected by alteration.
Fit Assurance Does Not Cover
- Changing the fabric, colour, lapel, garment style or other confirmed design choices.
- A new preference for a slimmer or looser silhouette after ordering.
- Body or weight changes occurring after the original measurements were supplied.
- Garments altered by another tailor before we have assessed the claim.
- A new or separate fit issue raised after the original Fit Assurance case has been completed.
When You Do Not Need to Claim
Your Full Fit Assurance Fee Becomes Future Credit.
When no Fit Assurance claim is made, the full fee paid becomes credit towards a qualifying future order.
The credit is valid for 12 months, is linked to the original customer and has no cash value. Current qualifying-order conditions are shown when Fit Assurance is purchased.
Fit Assurance Questions
Before You Add It to Your Suit.
Do I need Fit Assurance or full Made to Measure because my adult size is not listed?
No. Contact us before ordering about the adult extended-size Made to Order accommodation. Subject to tailoring suitability and confirmation, individual measurements can be used with standard Made to Order styling at the equivalent Made to Order price. Fit Assurance is optional and covers the separate post-delivery fit-resolution service described on this page.
Is Fit Assurance available with every suit?
It can be added to each Made to Order or Made to Measure suit. Where an order contains more than one suit, each suit requires its own Fit Assurance purchase to be covered.
Can Fit Assurance cover the whole suit?
Yes. One Fit Assurance purchase covers the complete suit it was bought with. The fit-resolution case may involve the jacket, waistcoat, trousers or skirt individually, several affected pieces, or the entire suit where a full remake is genuinely required. All affected pieces must be reported together.
Do I have to return the original pieces?
Yes. Every garment approved for remake must be returned in accordance with the instructions provided. Where a full suit remake is approved, the complete original suit must be returned. The replacement resolves the fit of the original order and does not provide an additional suit.
How long does a remake take?
Remade pieces are newly produced and normally require the standard estimated production time of 4–6 weeks after the return and revised sizing details have been completed, followed by delivery.
What happens when the suit fits and I do not claim?
The full Fit Assurance fee becomes credit towards a qualifying future order and remains valid for 12 months, subject to the conditions shown when it was purchased.
What happens when the garment is faulty or made incorrectly?
Manufacturing faults, an incorrect supplied specification or goods that are not as described are handled separately. Fit Assurance is additional protection for sizing and does not limit your statutory rights.
Still Unsure About Sizing?
